FCV Stamford: The season so far

FCV Academy’s Charter Standard football club, FCV Stamford, compete in three FA recognised competitions: National League U19 Alliance (NLA), The English College FA League (ECFA) and the Midlands Football League (MFL).

Since the players reported back for the new campaign at the start of September, the club has played more than 20 matches (including friendlies).

NLA Division G
Having only played once in the league, a 2-1 defeat to Boston United, FCV Stamford currently find themselves in ninth position in the division. A 4-2 win at Tamworth has seen FCV progress in the NLA Cup.

Total Motion MFL U21 East
FCV Stamford are currently sixth having started with three straight victories in the league and a win in the League Cup. Those wins have been followed by defeats to leaders Tamworth and Lutterworth Town.

ECFA East Midlands Region
After opening up with a draw with Brooksby Melton College, FCV Stamford recorded a 6-1 win over Moulton College before suffering a narrow defeat to New College Stamford Team 1. Last week an 8-0 win over YDP Peterborough ensured safe passage in the ECFA League Cup.

Alongside the league campaign, FCV Stamford have participated in a number of friendly matches, the most recent of which was against Leicester City’s International Academy.
